Green thumbs will get together this weekend for the fourth annual Plant Share.

The event, hosted by the Okotoks Garden Club and Town of Okotoks is a chance for gardening enthusiasts to get together and exchange plants or purchase new ones.

Lori Neufeld, president of the Okotoks Garden Club, says there's a number of other events planned for the Plant Share.

"We're going to have a couple of workshops so you can learn more about rain harvesting, we'll have the Town of Okotoks Conservation Educators on hand to do some rain barrel demonstrations. Also, if this is your first time gardening, we're going to have a demonstration on growing some common vegetables in Okotoks."

Neufeld says there's no cost to the event but it is a fundraiser for a local group.

"There's no cost at all so feel free to come down but this is a key fundraiser not only for the Garden Club but this year half the proceeds are going to go to the Okotoks Food Bank in support of the community garden."

The Plant Share takes place Sunday from 9:30- 11:30 a.m. at Ethel Tucker Park.
