The Town of Okotoks is ready to celebrate a whole week of going green.

From Sunday, June 4 to Saturday, June 10, conservation educators will be out in full force drawing attention to helping the environment.

Conservation Educator, Charne Crafford, says there's events planned through the entire week.

"It starts on Sunday with Explore Wild Okotoks and ends on Saturday with "Shred It" document shredding. There's events everyday, Sunday through Saturday. It's basically just to make residents aware of all the different things in town that we're doing regarding conservation."

Other events include a clothing exchange, energy showcase, eco-crafts and up-cycling, and Green Action Day.

Crafford says everyone can take part.

"It's definitely going to be fun and everything is family friendly. We really encourage people to bring out their kids and their families and come out for days that are fun so there's lots of chances to get involved, lots of activities."

All events are free.
