A Strathmore Junior High School went into lockdown Monday, June 5, after staff and students called RCMP about someone with a gun near the school.

It happened just before 1 o'clock Monday, with police getting the call of someone with a firearm in the area of the Strathmore Curling Club parking lot, close to Crowther Memorial Junior High School.

Mounties immediately locked down the school, and quickly located the suspect, arresting three people they believe were involved.

The school was removed from lockdown shortly after the arrests.

RCMP haven't said who was arrested or if they'll face charges.
