Guy Weadick days kick off in High River Thursday, June 21, and they already look like they've set a pre-sale record for ticket sales.

Event Chair Don O'Brien says usually they've sold about $15,000 worth of advance tickets for the rodeo and chucks by now.

He says this year, they've already hit $60,000.

"Yeah, the numbers are still rolling in, I think we're getting close. We need a heck of a lot more though through the weekend. The goal for me was if we could get over that $60,000 mark prior to the event, so now we seem to have hit our initial goal, and now let's keep pushing this."

He says there's still plenty of tickets available for all four days, and he says the campground's ready to open at noon Wednesday, June 20.
