Unfortunately the Habitat For Humanity fundraiser planned for this Saturday has had to be cancelled.

Marilyn Boake, the chairperson of the Foothills Chapter, says they just weren't able to sell enough tickets by the date they needed to.

"Our team was pretty disappointed, we put a lot of collective effort to securing sponsorships and various raffle items," she says. "You know we tried really hard to sell tickets and we just couldn't meet our minimum threshold."

Boake says they probably won't try to go in the spring since they do an annual on-line auction that's been very successful for them and they already have commitments for that.

She says in the meantime work continues on the duplex under construction in high river.

Boake says they're still looking for volunteers.
