Nanton's Mayor is moving up in the world.

Jennifer Handley is the newest member of the Infrastructure Committee with the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association.

She says she just found about it last week.

"Which is really great, great news! That means Nanton and our region, now has a voice at the table when it comes to lobbying the Provincial and the Federal government's on municipalities infrastructure needs."

Handley says being on the Committee will make it a lot easier to lobby the Province to help smaller centres fill infrastructure needs.
