High River's Health and Wellness Fair will be at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex this Saturday, March 5 from 12 P.M. to 5 P.M.

Community Recreation Program and Special Events Supervisor Cynthia Farrow says there will be lots of things to check out.

"There'll be all kinds of different things here that people can come and see what the Town of High River has to offer, what they can sign their kids up to do, what clubs and organizations anyone in the family can join, and what we have to offer to keep you healthy and active."

Farrow says the town's event stands out among other communities.

"I think ours might be a little different in the fact that we combine it with our Registration Round-up. So, that way we can show people not just the healthy aspect but the clubs, the organizations, the groups. Anything that can get you up and out of the house and doing something will make you feel better."

She says there will be lots to see this weekend.

"We're going to have different vendors set up that represent health and wellness to the community. Whether it be Juice Plus, or a tower garden, there'll be clubs and organizations, there'll be instructors, private fitness trainers, books, puzzles."

Farrow says volunteering, finding fitness work, or just being physically active yourself is always a positive move. She says there is still room to sign up as a vendor. She says anyone who works to make a person feel good, like hair and nail salons, and massage therapists, can book a table until Friday.
