Good news for fans of the television series Heartland and for tourism in High River.

The show has been renewed for a 12th season.

The web page for the show says there was much optimism and hopefulness that there would be another season of the longest running one-hour dramatic series in Canadian television history, but now it's 100 percent confirmed.

The website also says a lot of preparation is going on, at this moment, to get ready for the start of filming.
