Back to school isn't always the happiest time of the year for families who are struggling to make ends meet.

All the costs associated with returning or starting school is sometimes more than they can handle.

That's where the Nanton Quality of Life Program is hoping to help out.

They're looking for cash donations to help fill-up backpacks for students.

The program is solely financed through local donations including businesses, organizations and individuals.

The backpacks cost $70 to $95 each.

Depending on the grade (Kindergarten to Grade 12), they will be customized for the students requirements.
