The Town of High River is modernizing some of their bylaws, one of which is the Town's noise bylaw, which hasn't been updated since 1981.
Protective Services Manager Peter Genereux says they're really not looking for a "do-over" of the bylaws, they just want to freshen them up.
"The way some of the bylaws are written we need to a bit of an update on them. Some of the information might be a little bit dated. Rather than rewrite the complete bylaw, because that'll take a little bit of time and process. We can instead write an amendment to the bylaw, and that's the stage we're at right now."
Genereux says the Town's noise bylaw is missing an "offence creation" section with fines specific to violations of the bylaw.
