Plenty of big issues facing High River Town Council heading into the New Year.

Mayor Craig Snodgrass says he has two big priorities Council will need to deal with right off the hop, but one trumps the other.

"The swimming pool is a high priority for everybody on this Council and making a decision and getting that done, but that strategic plan sets us up, sets our direction for the next four years right."

Snodgrass says issues like replacing the Centre Street Bridge will take a back seat for the time being as it's going to be a long process.
