A group of students from across the province will be heading down to the indoor arena at the High River Ag grounds for a College Rodeo on September 15-16.

Office manager for the High River Agricultural Society Jenni Malin says there's plenty to see this weekend.

"It's going Saturday and Sunday, and they've moved from the outdoor to the indoor arena. Saturday the slack starts at noon, with the rodeo performance at 4 [p.m.], and Saturday evening [at 9 p.m.] we have a cabaret with Justin Ament."

Malin says the contestants in this weekends rodeo sets it apart from most other events.

"So all the contestants competing in the rodeo are actively attending college somewhere, so we actually have contestants coming from Northern Alberta, Southern Alberta and even Saskatchewan, they're all gathering here this weekend and it's their first rodeo of the season."

If you're interested in attending, Malin says there's plenty of tickets available.

"It's open to everyone, you can buy your tickets at the door, and on Sunday they are going to start at 10 a.m. in the morning."
