What could have been a very bad situation for one local homeowner has turned into a mystery for High River RCMP.

Around 10 p.m., Friday, Novermber 23, the resident of an apartment on 4th Avenue and 1st Street South East came home, but unknown to the victim at the time an unknown number of suspects were hiding in the apartment.

The resident went back outside to check on an exterior window and the suspects made a break for it out the front door.

Unfortunately the resident didn't see them and couldn't provide any descriptions of the suspects to police.

Luckily no one was hurt, but police haven't said if anything was damaged or stolen in the break in.

They're asking anyone with information to call them at (403)652-2357 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
