Highwood High School graduates had to scramble to find a place to hold their graduation banquet after Tuesday night's storm.

They were supposed to have it under the big tent at the High River Ag Grounds, but thanks of the deluge or rain and hail, the ground under the tent is too muddy.

Grad Organizer Terri Bass says, High River country singer Justin Ament and Okotoks Curler Shannon Kleibrink, came in to save the day by arranging for space at the Aldersyde Fieldhouse.

"Justin out at the Ag Grounds knows Shannon quite well and said you know what? It's not busy out at the fieldhouse, you should give he a call and see if they have some space. I had her number in about 10 minutes, called her, she was like 'no problem. We have space for you guys.' Even though they were getting flooded out on one side of their building, she said 'come on over." So, we packed up the rental stuff and came over."

The graduation ceremonies are still set for George Lane Park in High River at 1 P.M. with the grand march and dinner getting underway at 5 o'clock in Aldersyde.
