The Christmas season is upon us which means it's time for "Light Up High River."

Board Member Corene Loewen says they're looking for both residents and businesses to put up their best displays this year, with plenty of prizes up for grabs.

"We opened registrations on November 10th. We already have several registrants, so that's exciting. People are getting involved. There's more exposure this year and people know what's going on and want to be a part of it."

She says there'll be shopping spree's at local businesses, cash and Timothy Fred's as the main sponsor is putting up some furniture as well.

Registration ends on Thursday, November 30, with judging beginning by Friday, December 1.

She says the judging will be a mix of celebrity judges and the public.
