Summer time means summer camps and that's no different for the Foothills Special Needs for Parents and Siblings organization.

Orvella Small says Sib Shops is a good chance for kids to get together. They offer the program year round but in the summer it's a four day-a-week program and in the summer siblings with and without special needs can take part together.

"It's programming that offers siblings the opportunity to be a good advocate for their brother or sister, to learn the skills to appreciate what their brother or sister brings to the family and it also gives them the chance to vent if they want to and maybe not hurt mom and dad's feelings," Small says.

She says children who don't have specials needs sometime's feel left out and this gives them a chance to meet with kids in similar situations and talk about it and see they're not alone.
