The Provincial Government took time out Wednesday morning to tout all it's done for Kananaskis Country.

The Province earmarked $28.3 million towards improvments in the parks and protected areas throughout the Kananaskis.

Infrastructure projects include water and drainage systems, repairs and upgrades to shelters, cabins and other buildings, along with improvements to roads and campgrounds.

Other money is being invested in recreational amenities, including improved trails and picnic areas, new signage and fencing and electrical power for recreation areas and campgrounds.

Among the projects were an upgraded parking lot, additional benches and washrooms and new trailhead amenities in the West Bragg Provincial Recreation Area and in the McLean Creek Provincial Recreation Area campgrounds have been upgraded, including paving of campground loops.

K-Country will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2018.
