The annual "Vul-Con" is all set for this weekend in Vulcan, with as many as 10 stars from the world of "Star Trek" scheduled to be on hand over the two day event.

Vulcan Tourism Administrator Devan Daniels says this year's convention is already shaping up to be the biggest ever.

"I've already pre-sold more tickets than the entire attendance from last year. So, that's a very good start and then we have to add all the people who show up at the door. So, tickets are still available at the door."

Daniels says there's something for everyone.

"We have four special guests on Saturday and another five on Sunday for a total of nine. Everybody's doing photo-op's and autographs and Q&A's up on stage. We've got a lot of entertainment up on our media stage in the arena this year, and we're actually opening up the curling rink side and we've got a big display from VTV. We have a "Bridge Simulator" game and we have a huge Kids Zone."

The Trekcetera Museum in downtown Vulcan will also be open extended hours.

And you can check out the "Captain's Log" wall on the side of the Coulee Pub & Grill where you can write you're Captain's Log entries for all to see.

The one thing you can't do if you don't already have them though, is attend Saturday's dinner and dance as Daniels said they sold out for that very quickly.

In fact he says it'll be the most packed it's ever been with the CRC loaded to capacity for the popular event.

"Vul-Con"kicks off Saturday morning with Adam Nimoy unveiling a plaque for his father Leonard Nimoy.

He'll also debut a few minutes of unseen footage from the documentary he's producing about his father's life, during his panel which starts at Noon in the CRC.

That happens at 9 A.M. at the "Bust of Spock" in downtown Vulcan (Centre Street & 2 Avenue South)
