UCP leader Jason Kenney and the UCP party are demanding a former MLA stop talking about the party.

Independent MLA, and former UCP MLA, Prab Gill has asked the RCMP to investigate allegations of voter fraud in Jason Kenney's campaign in which he won the leadership in 2017.

At a press conference on March 6th Kenney told the media the party sent Gill a cease and desist letter.

"Quite frankly what we are saying here is if he does not stop this campaign of defamation, which apparently is now being coordinated with the Premiers office, based on that meeting this week. We would be happy to see him in court under oath," said Kenney.

He added Gill was removed from the UCP caucus and prevented from running because he was found by a former judge to have engaged in ballot stuffing and vote fraud.

"That says all you need to know about his credibility. He has made what we consider defamatory allegations against our entire party."

Kenney adds they are not going to allow Gill to do that with impunity.

"He will be held accountable if he defames the official opposition with these ridiculous conspiracy theories."
