Rowan House will be hosting their "Breakfast With The Guys Foothills," event this coming November, in support of education and prevention of gender based violence.

Ally Cramm, Community Relations Coordinator for Rowan House, says participants will be treated to a number of great experiences.

"It's going to feature former Calgary Stampeder, Keon Raymond. He's going to come and tell us a little bit about his story and his experiences with domestic violence, and also talk about what the Leading Change program means." she said.

Cramm also says they are still looking for sponsors and community participants.

"If someone would like to take the lead and step up and be a sponsor, we would love that. There's lots of different levels people can sponsor at. It's not just for men, women can attend as well. We're looking for men in the community who believe that violence is a serious issue in our community, and they would like to learn how to take steps to prevent it," said Cramm.

The event will take place on Friday, November 2 from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. at the Okotoks Best Western.

Tickets can be purchased via the Rowan House website or by contacting the Rowan House Administration line at 403-652-3316.
