Former councillor Len Kirk has become the village's third councillor after winning the byelection Monday.

He managed to get 96 votes, compared to 33 for Walter Fox, according to the unofficial results.

The results will be official Friday.

The byelection was made necessary with the resignation of Carol Macleod right after the October 16th municipal election.

Kirk will be sworn in Tuesday December 19.
