The love affair with the Trudeau Liberals doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon.

At least according to new data from the Institute for Research on Public Policy and Nanos Research.

Pollster Nick Nanos says 60% of Canadians have rated the Liberals performance so far as very good or good.

Nanos says those numbers take a bit of a dive here in Alberta.

"About 51.6% of Canadians who live in the Prairies give a very good, good or somewhat good score for the Liberals, this is compared to about 60% nationally. And even when we get to things about the direction of the country, only about 52% of people in the Prairie's think the country is moving in the right direction, compared to 63% nationally."

Nanos says it's not-uncommon for new government's to go through a "honeymoon" phase.

But, he says the soon to be released budget will likely change those numbers, either way, depending on what's in the budget.
