With the winter season gone, construction season is upon us.

The Lineham Canal Bridge has resumed and crews from Volker Stevin have been making preperations to create a temporary diversion south of the new bridge to help with traffic.

The diversion is scheduled to be open to traffic on Wednesday, May 30, and will be in effect until the new road and bridge are complete, which should be sometime in July.

Slightly longer commutes should be expected as speed in the area between Centre Street Bridge and High Country Drive N.W. is reduced to 30 km/h.

Drivers and pedestrians are asked to obey constructon signage and watch for heavy equipment and trucks working in the area and check for more information.
