A handful of local fire fighters will be putting on the gear and chugging up the stairs of the Bow Building in Calgary Sunday, April 29.

Among them is Nanton Fire Fighter, Shawn Wiebe, who's taking his third crack at it.

He says don't expect him to break any records this year.

"It's an awesome cause. I love to do it every year. I've been working out a little bit, but I'm going to take my time this year, as I'm nursing a knee injury. But it's going to be OK."

Wiebe says fellow Nanton Fire Fighter Jamie Vang may try to take a run at the record which sits at around 11 minutes.

You can sponsor either an individual fire fighter or a local department.
