Looks like we can expect snow and cold weather to be our new normal for the next few months here in the Foothills.

Environment Canada Meteorologist, Dan Kulak says we're moving into that time of year where we're just going to see more snow and cold, and there's really not much we can do about it.

He says there is some good news for those heading outdoors to take part in Remembrance Day services over the weekend.

"We're suggesting a high around the freezing mark. Not a lot of cloud or snow in the area, but kind of a seasonal day with quite a lot of sunshine in the area quite possible."

Kulak says they're still holding out hope for "El-Nino" to show up in force this Winter, which will give us more chinooks and a milder Winter.
