History buffs can get a glimpse inside ten historic homes in High River during this year's Historical Homes Tour.

Leslie Lambert says a real treat this year is Maggie's Diner, the set used in the television show Heartland, will be open to ticket holders as well.

"While Maggie's Diner itself is not historic, the log addition to Bradley's, which is the building it's attached to is a historic building in town," Lambert says.

Bradley's had been home to a western clothing store and before that a saddle maker's shop.

"it's so exciting to have that as part of our tour along with the ten houses that we are going to have on the tour as well as St. Benedict's Church will also be on the tour," she says.

New this year as well is a shuttle bus that will take people around to the different sites and drop them off and come back and pick them up later for only $5.

Tickets for the September 24 tour are now available at the Museum of the Highwood..
