On August 17 the Okotoks RCMP pulled over a stolen vehicle and arrested the driver.

During the investigation, the RCMP also discovered that the man was in possession of counterfeit Canadian currency, as well as the paper and printing tools to make the counterfeit money.

Sukh Randhawa, Sergeant with the Okotoks RCMP, says the man has been charged with multiple offences.

"Jacob Sager has been charged with possession of stolen property, custody of counterfeit bills, driving a motor vehicle without a valid license or registration and driving an uninsured vehicle on the highway", he says.

Sager will appear in court, in Okotoks on September 30, 2016.

The RCMP are encouraging businesses to educate their staff on what to look for when it comes to counterfeit bills.
