Man On Bike Jumped By Six Youth In The Northwest

A scary incident for a man riding his bike this past weekend.

At around 2:30 a.m. on July 19, the man was riding along the dikes in the northwest part of High River, when he was jumped by six youth.

Staff sergeant, Robin Alexander, says luckily an onlooker in the area reported the incident, and managed to capture the attack on video.

"We'll certainly have a look at (the video), and if appropriate, we'll be laying some charges," he says.

It's unknown at this point why the man was attacked, and RCMP are continuing to investigate the situation.

Alexander says thankfully the man did not sustain any serious injuries.
