High River council should soon get a look at what the public would like to see in recreation services in the future.

Director of Community Services Lisa Reinders says it's been in the works for awhile now.

"We are in the final stages of getting the final draft of the Master Recreation Plan, once we receive the final draft, we will be presenting that final draft to council," Reinders says.

Councillor, and Deputy Mayor, Cathy Couey says, as part of capital budget talks, recreation was considered as they await the plan.

"We've got a kind of conditions report coming forward so we can really make some future planning knowing that our building is 30 years old and some of the infrastructure and what not is starting to show that," Couey says.

Reinders says she's excited to show off the study to the community since they took the plan to the public for input in the beginning.
