McBride Career Group is reaching out to those needing guidance with their careers.

November is career month throughout Canada and McBride is ready to help Foothills residents looking to get into a career or change their current one.

Donna Stratton, career coach at McBride, says offering career services is crucial right now.

"At this point in time I think it's really important, a lot of people in the Foothills actually don't know that we even exist and for it to be free is really good for people who can't afford those services so we have a lot of people obviously that are out of work and need to find employment so it's great for us to be offering those services.

Stratton says they help people of almost all ages.

"We have a youth program that runs out of Calgary but we have someone in Okotoks, so that's from 16 and up, and we can help with career planning anywhere from high school and up," she says. "We also have an older worker program and that's a six week free program for people that are 50 and over."

McBride will be hosting an open house Monday, November 28 for Canada Wide Career Month from 3 to 6 P.M..
