Westwinds Communities will be holding an open house this week for people interested in calling the Medicine Tree Manor home when it's complete.

CAO Lauren Ingalls says it's going to be a real eye opener.

"You know we really just have to re-emphasize that the building is very different and we've been able to put a lot more amenities in that the former Medicine Manor didn't actually have," Ingalls says. "We have a bistro just off the front entranceway, we have a lounge with a piano, we have a huge recreation space and craft room, we'll have a media room that can either be used for church services or for movie night with a big screen t-v, we'll also have a fitness facility and also a games room."

She says it's going to be completely different than either of the models before it, the first that was damaged in the 2013 flood and the second which burned down just before it re-opened.

The open house will be held Wednesday February 8 afternoon at the Westwinds corporate office next to the manor.
