The High River Balloon Festival is coming up next month and excitement over the annual event is slowly starting to ramp up.

Organizer Jamie Kinghorn says they have a couple of new additions this year.

"A fellow by the name of Paul Burrows, who's out of the U.K. and a partner of his are bringing over what we call the "Little Boy" and the "Little Girl" balloons. And hey kind of have the head of a little boy, with a cap and that kind of thing. First time I flew with him was in the Phillipines in January. And I talked to Paul over there and I asked him if he'd be interested in coming to High River, and hey, we're going to have these two special shapes."

Kinghorn says only about 11 balloons will be taking part in the actual competition end of things, but overall they'll have 27 balloons, at least so far, in town for the event.

The Heritage Inn International Balloon Festival runs September 23rd to the 27th.
