There will be lane restrictions on Centre Street Monday, October 2, for the installation of girders on the Lineham Canal bridge.

Centre Street will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic from 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. while work is underway.

Traffic will also have to be stopped for short periods of time while the girders are lifted into place.

Drivers may want to consider using 498 Avenue as a detour.

A total of six girders will be installed, each weighing 72,500 kg or about 80 tons and 37 metres in length, or about 121 feet..
