The new Mr. Mikes in High River is hosting a job fair this weekend at the Highwood Memorial Centre.

Owner Mike Bliss says he wants to hire as many people from the local area as he can.

"Obviously local is preferred, I mean the commute is a heck of a lot less. I don't know if there's enough people from High River to staff us totally, so I mean Okotoks, Nanton, Vulcan, you name it, Claresholm, wherever, we'll take people from Calgary as well."

The fair runs from Noon to 6 p.m. Friday, January 12 and then again from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, January 13.

Bliss says bring a resume and prepare to be interviewed a least a couple of times.
