Director of Community Services Lisa Reinders says they have the authority to ticket vehicles that don't obey the no parking signs and it's not cheap if they get caught.

"It's a fifty dollar ticket if you have your car on a street and we have put up signs that say you have to move your cars."

She says they're following up on offenders.

"We do have municipal enforcement coming around to those areas and knocking on doors to see if residents are there so they can move their cars and if not municipal enforcement does have the ability to ticket the cars."

She says if everyone does their part and obey the no parking signs it will help town workers get their job done sooner.

"It's really important that staff are able to do the street cleaning and it just makes for a better looking community when we can clean the whole street."
