The Museum of the Highwood got a monetary boost thanks to Travel Alberta and the Provincial Government.

The Visitor Services Innovation Fund provides grants of up to $7,000 to individual organizations looking to create new and easy ways to help grow tourism and promote the area.

Visitor Information Centre Coordinator, Olivia Cotton Cornwall, says the grant will help a lot.

"We could build a Kiosk that would provide information. Everything from travel warnings and road closures to pamphlets and magazines that will help provide visitors with some information when we're not here."

Other local recipients were Vulcan Tourism and Bragg Creek Tourism.
