The High River Hospital Auxiliary group are grilling up a storm this Summer to raise money for medical equipment.
They were out at George Lane Park Sunday, July 15 serving hamburgers and hotdogs to guests, along with the "Free Beer Band" who were playing live music.
Local volunteer Joan Gimlan, who's worked with the organization for 16 years says their efforts have allowed for better equipment at the hospital.
"We recently gathered enough funds to help cover the costs of equipment for the hospitals new ophthalmologist. Alberta Health Services doesn't always provide everything the professionals needs, so we are here to make sure our facility and its doctor's have all the equipment it requires."
The group aims to be at George Lane park every weekend, raising funds until the middle of August.
