RCMP are investigating a break-in and theft that happened early Thursday, June 2, at a rural residence east of Aldersyde.

They say about 6 a.m., two suspects broke into a home and stole some money and removed the keys to the resident's vehicle, which they then stole.

The suspects left with the vehicle but returned it about 20 minutes later.

The victim provided a description of the pair, whom she saw leave in a second vehicle.

The second vehicle was a burgundy Chevrolet Silverado without a licence plate.

The male suspect is described as stocky, around 5'8", with black hair, wearing a black ball cap, jeans and a black sweater.

The second suspect, a woman,  is described as thin, shorter, with dirty blond shoulder length hair, wearing a blue and grey pullover sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The suspects were also observed with a third vehicle, a white GMC Sierra dually, which was left at a nearby property. That vehicle had not been reported stolen by the owner.

The owner, a resident of Calgary, was contacted by police and arrangements were made for truck to be returned.
