The Town of Nanton has approved three grant allocations which will be included in the 2019 budget.

First up the Thelma Fanning Library will receive $45,000 and the Nanton Quality of Life Foundation, which is the FCSS, is getting $14,680.

The Chinook Arch Regional Library System will receive $17,500.

There is no increase budgeted for 2020 or 2021 for the Library or the Nanton Quality of Life Foundation.

The Annual Support Grants include the Nanton Handi Van for $3,000, while the seniors indoor walking program, put on by the Nanton Quality of Life Foundation and the Nanton Booster Club will each get $1,500.

New this year the Nanton Animal Protection Society will recieve $9,000 to help them cover utility costs in their new building.

Safety Smarts will get $300. The High River District Health Care Foundation is receiving $1500 and one-off requests are budgeted for $1,500.

The total costs for Annual Support Grants comes to $18,300.
