The latest Vital Signs survey is out.

The survey is full of information on business and the economy in High River.

Community Capacity Catalyst Kalie Mosig with Our High River says there were some really positive findings.

"We came back with a solid C plus," said Mosig."I often don't refer back to the flood but when you just consider that was only four years ago and we have already come back to where we are today and that we are getting a C plus from the community in terms of business and economy that is really great."

Mosig says there is a wide variety of new businesses opening up in a range of different industries which is really important for the town.

And there are a lot of things going on with support for business including the Chamber of Commerce and Community Futures.

"And then also the Town as an organization they have come together to make High River a stronger place in terms of business and economy."

Mosig is looking forward to seeing what the community does with the information.

"We took our turn in developing the survey and asking the community what they saw as a need. What we are asking the community now is to take information, see how they fit in it. If we can help or support in some way we are happy to do that."

Some of the results from the 627 surveys received, including 180 from business showed:

* 66 percent said local shopping was important to them
* 57 percent of local businesses plan to grow in the next five years
* 82 percent would prefer to work in town
