With the dryer weather, fire bans are starting to pop up around Southern Alberta.

Both the M.D. of Foothills and Vulcan County has slapped on total fire bans, which means no open fires either at private residences or campgrounds, and all burning and fireworks permits have been revoked.

It's not quite so severe in Turner Valley, where the Town has a fire restriction in place that allows for fires in proper fire pits or rings.

Same story for the M.D. of Willow Creek and down into the Crowsnest Pass.

The only exception is the M.D. of Pincher Creek, which has only issued a fire advisory so far, but no bans or restrictions.

However into Waterton Park, it's back to a fire ban with no fires allowed.
