A Black Diamond woman has been remanded into custody and is facing a long list of charges after hitting two police vehicles on Sunday while trying to evade police in Okotoks.

Just after 10:30 p.m Okotoks RCMP were called out to a possible truck theft on Lineham Avenue on November 18th.

RCMP located a white pick-up with an Ontario plate, that turned out to be stolen, the truck then reversed, ramming a police vehicle and fleeing the scene.

The truck was located a short time later, where it rammed into another police vehicle in an attempt to flee a second time, before flipping onto its side.

A female occupant was arrested on scene and transported to hospital with minor injuries, and a search of the vehicle produced an air soft hand gun and a small axe.

Brownwyn Hannah-Jane Luckham, of Black Diamond has been charged with two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property and four counts of failure to comply with release conditions.

Luckham has been remanded into custody to appear in Okotoks Provincial Court on November 23rd.

No officers were injured in the collisions, however, one vehicle is a complete write-off.

The second police vehicle that was rammed is said to be repairable.
