Plenty of sizzle, but no steak for small business owners in Federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau's fiscal update Wednesday, November 21.

High River Chamber of Commerce President, Steven Muth says they were hoping for a lowering of the corporate tax rate.

"That's what the business owners were hoping for, was some type of acknowledgement of the economic situation that the country is in, particularly Western Canada, given the current state of the energy industry. So, for the local small business, still pretty challenging out there."

Muth says governments at both the Federal and Provincial level really aren't being much help to small business as they continue to put up obstacles instead of removing them.
