Okotoks RCMP have arrested a man who used American counterfeit money at the Aldersyde Petro Can.

Between January 1st and January 18th, RCMP conducted an investigation and were able to identify a suspect and lay charges.

Thirty-one year old Daniel Derek Morgan, has been arrested and charged with eight counts for possession of counterfeit money, four counts for passing counterfeit money, one count of fraud and one count of fail to comply with Probation order.

Morgan will appear in Okotoks Provincial court on February 1st, 2019.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have information regarding this occurrence to contact Okotoks RCMP at 403-995-6400.
