The Town of High River is hoping lots of residents come to an open house on Thursday, August 9, to find out about the new utility rates for water, waste water and storm water services.

The Town's Chief Financial Officer Kola Oladimeji, says the drop-in session starts at 4 p.m. and goes till 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Town Office.

"It is to provide them with more details about the new utility rates," said Oladimeji. "How we arrived at it and specifically if they want to know the impact on their own property we can take them through it."

He adds the Town is reorganizing the structure of the rates, without impacting people significantly.

"So in some rates they will see a drop and in some others they will see an increase but overall it will be a wash."

The open house is a drop-in format where residents can ask questions.

For anyone who can't make Thurday's session there is another one scheduled for the following Thursday, August 16 at the same location and times.
