Two cases of COVID-19 have been identified at École Secondaire Highwood High School in High River.

On Wednesday March 24, the Foothills School Division sent out a release to notify the school community of one confirmed case, and a second later the same day once the other case was confirmed.

The pair of cases puts the school on the province's COVID-19 School Status Map.

Public health officials, along with the division, are investigating the cases, assessing risk factor, and notifying close contacts.

In-person learning is continuing, with self-isolation where necessary.

Additional cleaning was carried out in areas the individuals were present.

The individual from the first confirmed case was last at the school on March 22nd.
