The 4-H Perfect Paws Club let the dogs out Saturday, March 23 for their second annual Dog Career Day event.

General Leader of the Perfect Paws 4-H Club, Kristen Hall says you do need a dog to join the club, however even that rule isn't always set in stone.

"So they do need a dog. That being said, if they don't have a dog, between the leaders and the trainers we all have way too many. So typically we find a way to make sure those kids can participate. We want to make sure that no kid gets left out if they don't have you know a dog they can use."

Hall says the event demonstrates what a bit of hard work can really do.

"So the goal of this event is to bring dogs that have all different types of careers, and to showcase it to the kids in the club and the parents. Just to show that if you put in the hard work, what you can accomplish."

Hall says the club has been around for 10 years but, recently the club has really expanded.

"It seems to be a big hit, this year we've got some new people from outside of the club that came and so our goal is to just keep growing it and get the community involved as well as the club."

At the event, trainers showed off what their dogs were capable of, some performed in an agility course, while others demonstrated the theraputic training their dogs had.

Hall says they are planning to do another dog career day next year.
