Despite the lack of sunshine Saturday, June 9, the Walking on Sunshine PET-A-THON event had a great turn out.

Hosted by the High River Veterinary Clinic, the event attracted pet lovers and their furry friends to a day of fun, including delicious food, bouncy castles, crafts, and a silent auction.

Heaven Can Wait Rescue Foundation founder, Kim Hessel, says, "We saw a lot of familiar faces, including some of the animals that had been adopted in the past." She added, "this was the first time we've done this and we'd love to do it again one day".

The event, which finished in George Lane Park, raised approximately $2,000 for the Heaven Can Wait Rescue Foundation.
