You may have seen the petition floating around the Foothills pushing to force the government to undertake a plebiscite to repeal Bill 6 and the proposed carbon tax.

However one local MLA says it may not accomplish a whole lot in the end.

Wildrose Livingstone-Macleod MLA Pat Stier says he's heard a lot about it, but he's not convinced of it's success.

"The way that petition seems to be worded, to me, indicates that the way it's being pointed out in that petition may not hold a lot of legal-ese."

"Albertans First," the group gathering the signatures, have a plan to remove Premier Rachel Notley from office if she won't accept the petition when the Legislature sits starting March 8.

However, they won't say exactly what that plan is.

You can sign the petition at the UFA Ranch Supply Store in High River or Gus's Day Diggs in at Unit 4- 107 Stockton Point in Okotoks.
