It may be months away but the Heritage Inn International Balloon Festival is filling up fast.

They already have registrations for 20 of 25 spots.

Organizer Jamie Kinghorn says he is getting calls from places like Mexico and France.

"Sept. 27 is when we are going to start and Oct. 1 will be our last flight," said Kinghorn.

He added it is a bit busier, they had a couple of quieter years.

Once the registrations are in he needs to find volunteers to help.

"Of course we are looking for sponsorships, as always it is a little bit tougher year on business this year. We are looking at more sponsors to see if we can get some small donations for various things."

It is very expensive with the festival needing about $60,000 to cover expenses.

The evening glow is on for Spitzee school, mostly because it is very sheltered.

"They are open to us doing the glow there again. I recognize it is a little bit smaller field but one of the successes we have had is we pick the right places to do the glows and that is a sheltered place with very little wind and that is why we were able to do the glow last year."

And he teases there are a few interesting shapes coming this year, but everyone needs to wait a bit longer for that news.
